Climbed at Emerald Lake today... for a no fall day! On-sighted The Kind V5, V6 on Cube, V2 on the Kind Boulder and Beginners Luck V3. I've been tortured to not have played a part in the development of RMNP... a truly incredibly bouldering destination. However, now that I'm able to climb in the park for a moment, I'm incredibly grateful to be able to on-sight / flash (favorite style) some of the best boulder problems in the world.

Day 11 - RMNP Lower Chaos
Amber and I traveled to Lower Chaos, for an exceptional day of climbing. Amber sent a really cool V3 near Autobot... and some other great lines. It has been a great pleasure to watch her progress and enjoy climbing. I managed to fail on the final slap to jug on Gang Bang Arete... totally disgusted with myself. Regardless, it was a perfect day of climbing!

Day 10 - RMNP Lower Chaos 09/26/11
Weird day of climbing, body was wrecked after a rest day... sent Revenge after some work. I was planning to flash Revenge and then work Bush Pilot... but after arriving, I could barely walk and all my joints ached... welcome old age. The supplements had arrived on Friday, not much to say, except the awkward moments of diarrhea and nausea. *Update: After some analysis... it appears I was suffering from altitude sickness... ha!
Day 9 - Family Race 09/25/11

Day 7 - RMNP Lower Chaos 09/23/11
It's really difficult to describe how much bouldering means to me... but I can say it has brought me great happiness over the last 20 years... and ever more now that my family is climbing along with me. I had an incredible bouldering day at RMNP, with lower chaos displaying playful butterflies and rolled over wild flowers. The climbing goal was to flash Autobot, which was realized... Autobot climbs out an amazingly positioned line over great grips. Also sent Mikala... which was very good... and some other randoms.

Day 6 - Lincoln Lake 09/22/11
Day 5 - Evans Area A/B 09/21/11
Day 4 - Lincoln Lake 09/20/11
Day 3 - Flagstaff 09/19/11
Ryen had fun pretending to cook us dinner, while I feared her every step would end in disaster, while the "just farted" moment in the flag outhouse peaked our session; we had fun climbing along Boulder's famous Flagstaff Mountain... Amber and I worked the moves of Monkey Traverse... and Ryen cranked out some good moves of her own... dinner at the Southern Sun followed!
